The automobile sector is going through its worst phase in India. The government has removed the ban on government departments to support this sector. In 2014, the government banned buying new cars for government officials. After this ban, the government departments could not replace the old government car and get a new car. Now due to the slowdown in the industry, the government has removed this ban and has allowed the officials to buy new cars.

To boost sales in the auto sector, Nirmala Sitharaman said that customers can also buy BS4 vehicles until the deadline. Appreciation of the government's steps
SIAM Chairman Rajan Vadhera has called it the next relief given by the finance minister after the GST rate cut. He said in a statement that the industry wholeheartedly welcomes these steps. The government has taken steps in less than two weeks after discussions with him. The Finance Minister has announced several relief measures. He said that making retail loans cheaper and financing dealers was the biggest concern of the industry. The government's announcements made on Friday adequately resolve these problems.
Mahindra & Mahindra Managing Director Pawan Goenka said that these announcements of the government would go a long way to improve the perception. This shows that the government is listening to the industry. Venu Srinivasan, chairman of TVS Motors, said the move was the immediate relief the industry was demanding.
