Maruti Suzuki's micro SUV S-Presso has been in the news for a long time. Recently it was seen many times during testing. Now the launch date of this small SUV has come out. Reports have claimed that Maruti S-Presso will be launched on September 30. This car is the production version of the Future S concept introduced at Auto Expo 2018. Coming to the budget segment, this small SUV from Maruti will take on the Renault Kwid with a 1-liter engine in the market.

The Maruti S-Preso will look completely SUV-like. This car has not been seen with Aloy Wheels in a single leaked picture yet. It is believed that it will have steel wheels with a hub cap so that the price of the car can be kept low. Based on leaked photos, the micro-SUV is believed to have sharp headlamps with halogen lights and sweptback taillamps with brake lights.

The new car will be based on Maruti's latest Heartect platform, which is lighter and stronger. This platform has been used in other Maruti cars including the new WagonR, Swift, and Ertiga. In this, safety features like dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, and seat belt reminder will be available in all the variants. Apart from this, this small SUV will be compliant with the new safety and crash test norms.

The interior

This small SUV is likely to get a cabin room similar to the Silaria with a dark-gray interior. The design of the dashboard will be largely inspired by the concept car. It can get many advanced features inside the round-shaped digital center console, including digital speedometer and touchscreen infotainment system.

The engine

According to reports, the S-Preso will be Maruti's first car to get a 1.0-liter petrol engine with BS6. The new car will likely be available with the Alto K10, but it will be priced slightly higher. The price of this small SUV from Maruti can be kept between Rs 3.7 lakh to 4.5 lakh.
