TAGG PowerBass 700 review: good battery, audio quality, charging and other...

TAGG launched wireless overhead headphones called PowerBass 700 sometime back. This is a budget headphone, which the company introduced specifically for the additional base. We have used it for a long time and now we are going to tell you its review. Read our review here and know whether the company's claim is true. Currently, it can be purchased on Amazon for Rs 2,699.

Specifications, Design and Build Quality:

The first thing you will notice as soon as you get out of the box is the overall look, which is very premium in appearance. You will be impressed with its look and quality at a glance. Its body is made of plastic and has a cushion pad with a soft leather coating over the drivers in the right and left side headsets. In this case, it is better to use for a long time. At the same time, many times, when wearing cheap headphones, they do not give a good grip. This is not the case with these headphones.

90-degree rotation will be available here for flexibility and addition comfort. Also, you will get the option to set the headband here. All the control buttons are given on its left headset. There is a built-in mic, micro USB charging port, 3.5mm aux port, LED indicator, power on/off button, base extender button and volume control. Overall its build quality is good according to the price and the weight is light and it is very easy to carry it in the bag, etc., because it is foldable. Also, it can be used in both wired and wireless mode. In this case, know the battery but wire can be used.

Talking about the remaining specifications of this wireless headphone, its battery is 500mAh. The company claims that it can listen to music continuously for 14 hours. For connectivity, Bluetooth version 4.0 has been given in it, which is old, at least 4.2 could be given in it. However, its connectivity range is 20ft. Qualcomm's CSR8635 chipset has been used in it. It would have been better had aptX been given for better and HD sound quality.

Performance:

First of all, we talk about audio quality, we have used it with many genres like classical, psychedelic rock, jazz, rock, dubstep, EDM, BDM, metal, trance, and folk. We found that in many genres, everything is good except base or low notes. Mid and vocals are clear in many genres, but there is difficulty in low notes and high notes. Talking about an average, even after boosting the base, you do not get the base and sharp mids. Total clarity and crisp are missing in these headphones. I would like to highlight and tell you that the base punch could have been better if the tuning of its high notes would have been better. These headphones are boosting the high notes of any song so much that sometimes you will not be able to hear any song. In such a situation, the overall music quality was only average and the base is not good enough at all and remember I have also written above that aptX should have been given so that the sound quality would have been better.

Talk about the microphone, it is also quite a week and if noise cancellation was given in it then it could have been a better package. Talking about the battery, it is quite good. You can use it for about 12 hours on a single charge. Talking about connectivity, you will not face any problem regarding this.

Decision:

If you are an audio lover then don't buy headphones from my understanding. There are some wireless in-ear headphones in the neckband pattern in the market, which can be purchased for base and audio. If you want, you can try SoundOne's X60 in this budget. The problem with the PowerBass 700 by TAGG is that the high notes are more boosted and the base punch is completely missing. However, it is the champion in battery and builds quality.
